Aihuicha, October 26: European Central Bank President Lagarde said that the fight to curb inflation is not over, but she is confident that inflation can return to 2%. "We're not done yet, and we really need to bring inflation back to 2% in the medium term," Ms. Lagarde said on Wednesday. She said central bank officials must monitor risks "very carefully," including the possible rise in oil prices caused by the Middle East conflict. European Central Bank officials are meeting in Athens, and the market is expected to suspend interest rate hikes on Thursday. "We need to focus on prices, wages and profits, all of which to understand the risks, but for now, I believe we are moving towards inflation returning to 2%," Ms. Lagarde said
