Aihucha News, September 14: Adam Boyton, chief economist of ANZ Bank, said that Australia’s employment growth rose sharply in August, but there was also a worrying side to the report. Despite the job gains, the unemployment rate remains steady at 3.7%, with most of the job growth driven by part-time work. In addition, working hours have also declined, taking the shine off the impressive job growth figures. Boyton said ANZ's view on the RBA had not changed as a result of the data. The agency expects the cash rate to remain at 4.1% for quite some time.
